I lived on Cape Cod for many years, and did hundreds of paintings there. I have family and friends there and go back every year to paint and visit. These days, I have been staying with an old friend in Wellfleet, and have had the opportunity to paint in this quaint town with lovely beaches, without the constraints of the working life and family obligations I had when I lived there. This is Wellfleet Harbor on an August evening right before the sun went down. I worked from a photo reference and a really good memory.
